PoE1 Blight Farming Strat — Dunes (8-mod)
Scarabs
1x Scarab of the Blightheart
1x Blight Scarab of Blooming
1x Cartography Scarab of Escalation
1x Scarab of Monstrous Lineage
Setup
Use Dunes with 8 mods.
Put all four scarabs into the map device with the map.
We do not use any map crafting — we’re only taking advantage of the % Quantity of Items Found.
Once inside, speed-run straight to the Blight pump and start the encounter.
Tower Strategy
You can build whatever you like, but the strongest and most consistent setup is:
Frost Tower (T3)
Stun Tower (T3)
Empower Tower (T3)
Set these up in the choke points.
I prefer two layers of this combo:
One set near the front
Another slightly further up the lane
The first layer usually locks everything down completely. The backup layer is just insurance for the occasional chunky rare.
Ring Anointments
When empowering your rings, prioritize:
Frost Towers now Freeze enemies
Empower Towers have increased Range
Danger Mods — Avoid These
Your tower combo is bricked if the map rolls either of these:
Enemies cannot be stunned
Enemies’ action speed cannot be reduced
If you see either one, skip the map unless you can deal with the mobs — your towers will not function. You will need to use different towers
Extra Juice: Tower Chest Trick
Build a max-tier tower on every single plot.
The tower type does not matter — only the tier.
When the Blight ends, all towers turn into chests.
Higher-tier towers = better, more rewarding chests.
Character Requirements
You want either:
Giga damage to delete the ultra-tanky Blight bosses, or
A tanky, immortal character that can sit in the mess and burn them down
I’m running Pohx’s Righteous Fire Chieftain, about ~40 div invested, but you can do this strat on way less and still print currency.
