8-mod Map farming

For starters, the bulk of the profit from this strategy comes from the maps. On average, you should expect around 16x T16 maps per run, 1 Nightmare map every other run (if unlucky), and 1–2x T16.5 maps per run.

This test i ran 9 maps in 1 hour

Map sale prices:

Quick sale: 4c each

Moderate sale: 5c each

Long sale: 6c each

T16.5 maps: 15–300c each

Nightmare maps: 25–30c each

These are the prices I’m selling at as of 3/22. Prices may change as the league goes on.

In my testing, I used the long sale method. I farmed for a full hour, then listed half of the 8-mod maps for 5c each and the other half for 4c. took abotu 1 hour to sell all maps (170 8mod maps total). For T16.5 maps, I price-checked each one and sold them accordingly. You should expect to find 2–4 T16.5 maps with 8+ mods that sell for 1–2 divines each.

When evaluating the profits of this strategy, keep in mind that I have already accounted for the sale of the maps listed above. Everything else dropped during the run is left untouched.

I used red altars because they are easier to run, but if your build can handle blue altars, use those instead. You are mainly looking for:

chance for maps to be duplicated

increased quantity

increased rarity

If none of those are available, just pick the next best option.

For this strategy, you want to run T16.5 maps with:

100%+ more maps

80% quantity

30% pack size

I bulk buy these for around 40c each.

Jungle Valley is the preferred map to run. in the cost breakdown i list nightmare maps but this is just a placement holder for t16.5 maps. you will want to run 16.5 maps

Scarabs are cheap:

1x Cartography of Corruption

1x Influence of Hordes

1x Cartography of Escalation

2x Monstrous Lineage

This should cost about 6–7c total.

That puts the total cost per map at 47c.

Minimum expected return: 96c in maps, not including anything else you loot.

This strategy can get pretty rough. There are a lot of mobs, and the T16.5 modifiers can be dangerous. Use https://poe.re/#/maps to create a search string that you can paste into player shop windows to filter out maps you do not want. Grayed-out maps are the ones being filtered out.

Also, make sure to check the price before buying multiple maps from the same seller, and be aware of seller mines.
